Submitting an Application with Oberon Council
All employment applications must be submitted online.  Please click on an individual vacancy listed which will open a new window into the position details.  If you wish to apply for a position please press the apply button at the bottom of the job advertisement.  This will prompt you to either log in or create an account using your email address, this process will only need to be completed once.  This functionality allows you to manage your application and provides you with the option of saving your application to continue at a later stage.  Please note that late applications will not be accepted and your application must be submitted before the advertised closing date.

All applicants must be an Australian citizen or have the right to work permanently in Australia.

Prior to applying you should read through the Position Description attached to the position details online to ensure you understand the requirements of the position advertised.

You will need to answer questions, so please answer the questions clearly and provide examples, referring to your previous knowledge and experience.

At the end of the online application process you must attach a copy of your resume.  You can also attach any other documents relevant to your application including a cover letter and relevant qualifications.

Completed applications must be received before midnight of the advertised closing date.  You will be notified via email of the status of your application.  All applications received will become the property of Oberon Council.

What if? I don't have access to a computer?

The Oberon Council Library allows public access to computers which have internet and word processing applications available Monday to Saturday.

What if I don't have an email address?

You will need to establish your new email account before you can register through our e-Recruitment portal.  If you are not confident you can complete this process, we recommend you ask a friend or family member to assist.
